Collaboration of sorts! The form was designed by Kell Lakia for Terraform Studio's winter solstice mug workshop, and then I went hogwild decorating it. Kell was inspired by winter in Australia as a concept so this is my take on that. The bright golden light bursting through the rain in a sunshower. Glittering drops of water suspended on cobwebs draped across an old fence. Beautiful rot, shining, glittering decay. The endless cycle of life and death but the almighty mug endures it all 🙌

Handbuilt from slabs following a pattern by Kell Lakia. Keane Stoneware 7 body, chrysanthos and amaco velvet underglazes, NPS Chun blue and clear satin stoneware glazes, fired cone 10 oxidation.
